Product Description

The API600 Class 600 OS&Y Cast Steel Gate Valve consists of several key components. The valve body houses the gate and provides a conduit for fluid flow.

The gate is controlled by the stem, which passes through the bonnet and is connected to the handwheel or actuator for operation. The stem is sealed by packing within the bonnet to prevent leakage. The valve includes flanges for connection to piping systems.

Inside the valve, the seat provides a tight seal against the gate to control fluid flow. The OS&Y design ensures the stem’s threads are outside the valve, keeping them clear of the flow path and providing a visual indicator of the valve’s status. These components work together to provide reliable, high-performance fluid control in various industrial applications.
