The R180 Genuine Leroy Somer AVR includes advanced protections such as over-excitation limitation and voltage sensing loss and also features voltage droop for Genset parallel operation. Designed to fit the TAL 40, TAL 42, TAL 44, TAL 46, TAL 47 and TAL 49 alternators with shunt excitation.

The R180 is a fully solid-state automatic voltage regulator (AVR) which is used for excitation of a brushless alternator powered by a Permanent-Magnet (PMG) exciter or by auxiliary windings.
